- Death of both company founders within just one week: Hans Kronenberg died at the end of February 1971 at the age of 67. Only six days later, his brother Josef died at the age of 69 of a heart attack.

- 15th November Company founded by the brothers Hans & Josef Kronenberg, company headquarters in Cologne-Nippes, business registration for the manufacture and sale of electrical switching devices. Until the end of the Second World War, the brothers initially run the business in addition to their their main activity as lift technicians in a backyard in Cologne. With the HJK-1 limit switch, they lay the foundations for a successful company history.
